The Magic ROOM!!!

This next post is a sad one... Jeffrey Zaslow passed away this weekend.  He just wrote a book about the love we wish for our daughters.  AKA  "The Magic Room"  My fiancé and I meet him not but more that a couple of weeks ago.

From the Huffpost Detroit
"This past Friday author Jeffrey Zaslow left our world suddenly, on an icy road in Northern Michigan, likely headed home to his treasured family after a day of book selling and signing. In a state where best-selling authors are infrequent but cherished, the loss is tangible; to his family, I am certain, it is unbearable."

NY Times

"The police said Mr. Zaslow’s car was struck by a semi-trailer truck after he had lost control of his vehicle on a snow-covered road near Elmira. No charges had been filed, the police said, but an investigation was under way.

Mr. Zaslow had attended a bookstore event in Petoskey, Mich., near Elmira, the night before, promoting his latest book, “The Magic Room: A Story About the Love We Wish for Our Daughters.” Published in December, the book was about the clientele of a long-established Michigan bridal shop.

Mr. Zaslow was drawn to stories about people seeking meaning in their lives, often in the face of mortality. Some of his books were based on stories in his column “Moving On” in The Wall Street Journal."

Thoughts and prayers to the Zaslow's family...
