Grand Opening of 38 Commerce
Locus Development invited Neighborhood Ventures and the Heartside Business Association to hold a fundraiser in conjunction with the grand opening. Ticket sales from drink purchases went to benefit projects from both organizations.

The event was held at 38 Commerce . 38 is almost finished with construction and what a sight to see. Last night Griffin Properties ended up leasing all the apartments, and they had guided tours of the building. The panoramic views were flawless.

The rooftop deck was awesome. The walls were high enough so that the wind does not feel intrusive at all, and of course the beautiful views of Grand Rapids.

The apartments had great countertops and all sleek lines. Their is even a Murphy bed that is hidden in the office walls.

They had an ice bar and all the beer was donated by Founders Brewing. A lot of volunteers helped out to make this event seamless.

Guest enjoyed food from local restaurants like San Chez and Peppinos. Their was even a live performence from singer songwriter Drew Nelson.

A progressive art piece started at 5:00 P.M. and continued through the night with local artist added their individual flair to a collaborative mural.

Thank you again for everyone who participated, welcome to neighborhood 38!
